More than 30,000 students descend into Liverpool each academic year.
To celebrate their return and welcome the new comers, St John’s shopping centre invited all students to register their interest on our Facebook page, with a chance to win £200 worth of shopping in St John’s Student Trolley Dash.
Hosted at our fantastic Iceland Williamson Square, our lucky winner Emilie won the 60 second sweep around the aisles of the supermarket, collecting as much as she could fill her trolley with – boss!
Robert Bradley, St John’s Shopping Centre manager, said: “We wanted to give something back to the students that was not only a whole load of fun but also feel that fridges ready for the first term of hard work and study in the city of Liverpool.”
“We want to celebrate the energy and enthusiasm that students bring to this wonderful city of ours and a personality test allows us to see those who are the most passionate about the city and about being a student. Moreover, we want to give students the best start by introducing them to that go to value shopping centre that is St John’s.”
The trolley dash took place yesterday (1st October) with a roaring success, and Emilie packed her trolley with an abundance of goodies, she even managed to raid the wine aisle in true student fashion!
