In celebration of Earth Day on Monday 22nd April, we have been reflecting on some of the things we do to be as green as we can.
Did you know…
- Our 65-metre living green wall absorbs two tonnes of pollution and creates 750kg of oxygen per year
- The green wall, one of the longest in the UK, has over 14,000 evergreen plants, encouraging bees and other pollinators to visit
- We have two bee hives installed on our roof, home to 80,000 bees
- We produce 50 kilos of honey every year from our rooftop bees
- We have replaced 90% of our lighting with detection-controlled LED lighting
- 100% of our waste is diverted from landfill
- We reduce our general waste by 10% annually through recycling waste initiatives
- We recycle 35 tonnes of food waste each year
- Our Christmas decorations are made from 100% recycled and biodegradable plastic bottles
We are fully committed to continually review our practices, to ensure we are as green as we can be!
