We’re very proud to announce that Lebanese restaurant, Bakchich, will open the doors to its newest restaurant and join our St Johns community at WIlliamson Square, Liverpool, next week (Monday, August 7).

Our newest addition serves Lebanese street food with a French twist; including shawarma and falafel, Lebanese pastries (baklawa) and a range of delicious fruit cocktails.

The St Johns Shopping Centre restaurant will be the third location for the restaurant chain, which has earned a cult following since it started out on the Christmas Markets of Liverpool just a few years ago. Bakchich opened their first permanent restaurant on Bold Street in Liverpool in 2013 and success followed as they opened their second restaurant in Manchester in 2015.

Otto Mellouki, Founder of the Al Manal group and Bakchich, said: “We are excited to be bringing our new restaurant to St Johns Shopping Centre to introduce a wider audience to the Arabic food culture, traditions and heritage.”

The new opening will be located off Williamson Square, within close walking distance to the Royal Court Theatre and Playhouse, ideal for those wanting a reasonably priced, pre or post-performance.

Robert Bradley, Centre Manager for St. Johns, said: “The opening of Bakchich within St Johns Shopping Centre adds to the host of varied vendors and certainly extends our offering to those wanting something a little different. With its unique atmosphere and contemporary décor, Bakchich will bring a refreshing twist to our growing repertoire of food outlets.”

Bakchich will add to the currently affordable eateries in our centre, including McDonald’s, KFC and Greggs as well as more recent independents such as The Good Catch fish and chips, and Fork It hot dogs.
