St Johns Shopping Centre is fully open, including its car park, despite the ongoing issues concerning the Lime Street Connectivity Scheme.
We are aware that NMCN, the main contractor working on the Lime Street Connectivity Scheme, has entered administration. While Liverpool City Council is working at pace to assign a new contractor and get the development back on track, we want to assure our shoppers that St Johns Shopping Centre and its neighbouring businesses are, as always, open and accessible.
“After a lengthy process of consultation and considerable delay to the progress of the Connectivity Scheme, we are disappointed to learn of the continued disruption that will be caused in light of NMCN entering administration,” said Neil Ashcroft, Centre Manager at St Johns Shopping Centre.
“I would like to, once again, reiterate that we remain open and committed to serving our customers in any and every way we can.
“As a shopping centre located in the heart of the city and surrounded by a range of other businesses that have been impacted by the ongoing redevelopment of the area, we are here to serve our people and provide a high-quality leisure offering through our community of over 100 retailers.
“St Johns has seen great success so far in 2021, with the arrival of new retailers including Boom Battle Bar and HMV, and we look forward to continuing to serve our shoppers, in spite of the potential delays caused by this.”
