Here at St Johns we are dedicated to making a positive impact our commitment to the local community, going above and beyond to make a difference this World Giving Day. In partnership with MyTime which is part of Local Solutions Charity, St Johns has helped provide a range of thoughtful gifts to unpaid carers across Liverpool. As a community shopping Centre, we recognise the importance of collaborating with such an important charity and contributing to give carers the break they deserve.
Through the generosity of our retailers, St Johns has been able to offer a variety of exciting prizes, experiences, and treats for those who dedicate so much of their time and energy to caring for others. The gifts include a magical family ticket to the Grotto, a £100 voucher for Storm, a hot drink and breakfast at Key Lime Coffee, a fun round of Crazier Golf at Boom Battle Bar for four people, and a cuddly soft toy donated by VR Liverpool to add a little extra joy.
These contributions highlight our ongoing dedication to supporting those who need it most. By providing these meaningful gifts, St Johns has not only helped brighten the lives of local carers but has also shown how businesses can work together to give back to their communities in a significant way.
As part of this initiative, carers were able to receive a little something special as a token of appreciation for their hard work and selflessness. St Johns is proud to play a part in making World Giving Day memorable for those who give so much of themselves without asking for anything in return.
Hazel Brown MBE, Head of Communities, said: “MyTime provides breaks for unpaid carers, ranging from just a few hours. The impact these opportunities can have on a carer’s health is immeasurable. MyTime is about local breaks for local carers, and what could be more local than St Johns? We would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity; it truly will make a difference.”
