We are proud to share our 2024–25 Sustainability Report, highlighting the progress we’ve made across environmental performance, community impact, and responsible governance. See the full report here
Environmental performance
Over the past year, we have achieved a number of environmental milestones, including:
Zero waste to landfill for the third consecutive year
A 3.4% increase in recycling rates
A 17% reduction in food waste
Rooftop beehives, supporting 80,000 bees
Liverpool’s 65-metre Living Wall, home to more than 14,000 plants
Community impact
Through our ‘Just for Joy’ initiative, we have supported ten local charities with donations and volunteering. This work reflects our commitment to the local community and our role as a responsible city stakeholder.
People and inclusion
We continue to prioritise inclusivity across everything we do. All our employees have completed Dementia Friendly, Autism Awareness, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training, helping to create a welcoming environment for both staff and visitors.
Looking ahead
We have completed the first stage of ISO 14001, with full Environmental Management System accreditation targeted for 2026. We also plan to strengthen our partnerships with local organisations and educational institutions to further support sustainability and community initiatives.
From our Centre Director
“Our mission is to continually improve our environmental performance, support our community, and maintain transparency across all our operations.” – Neil Ashcroft
